At K.J. Mackenzie (Garve) Ltd we recognise that in order to provide a satisfactory service we must have procedures and processes in place to enable us to do this safely, efficiently and in an environmentally aware manner.

With this in mind, one of the first things we did was gain Achilles UVDB Verify accreditation. We are extremely proud that just 5 weeks after we begun trading we were audited by Achilles and found to satisfy the requirements of the UVDB Verify scheme with our lowest score being 74% (Quality) and our highest being 100% (Environment).

We believe this achievement at such an early stage confirms our commitment to operating our business to the highest standards possible and, with Achilles accreditation requiring an annual audit, we can be sure that the procedures and processes in place will be subject to regular review and improvement where necessary. Indeed, subsequent audits have seen improvement in our Quality marks and the retention of our Environment score demonstrating that we will implement changes where required; a copy of our latest certificate can be found on our Facebook page.

We have also developed and implemented an Environmental Management System with the aim being to achieve ISO 14001:2015 by the end of 2018. Katrina has also recently studied for and achieved, associate membership of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment, both of which further underline our commitment to our environmental responsibilities.
